Lifeline

LifeLine support provides discounts that make basic, local telephone service more affordable for more than seven million Americans. The LifeLine program is governed by both federal and state agencies, and those agencies determine the qualification criteria, credit amounts, and annual audit guidelines.

LifeLine Support
Qualifying customers for LifeLine Support receive the monthly LifeLine Support credit of $12.75.

To qualify, a customer must participate in one of the following federal assistance programs:

  • Medicaid
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program ("SNAP")
  • Supplemental Security Income
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance
  • Low-income Home Energy Assistance Program
  • Temporary Assistance to Needy Families Program ("TANF")
  • National School Lunch's Free Lunch Program ("NSL")

The customer will receive a normal monthly bill that includes a LifeLine Support credit of $12.75. LifeLine Support customers are subject to the same service charges, taxes, mandated monthly fees, company procedures, and payment terms as other e-Tel Murray customers. LifeLine Support customers are exempt from paying Local Number Portability charges and Federal Universal Service Fees.

To sign-up for the LifeLine Support Program, a potential customer must provide all of the below documentation at time of application:

  • Residential Customer Application that includes customer signature
  • Certification of Qualification (Click here for printable version).
  • Proof of qualifying program participation
